  • What We Collect: We do not collect any personal information as there is no need to create an account to start using Proverbia.

Device and Usage Data:

  • What We Collect: Through Firebase Analytics, we collect information such as:
    • Device Model (e.g., iPhone 12)
    • Device Brand (e.g., Apple)
    • Operating System Version (e.g., iOS 14.5)
    • Screen Resolution
    • Language Settings
    • Firebase Installation ID (a unique identifier for the app installation)
    • Advertising ID (IDFA)
    • Coarse Location Data (country-level) based on your IP address
  • How We Use It: To analyze app performance, understand user behavior, improve user experience, and enhance the App's functionality.

App Activity:

  • What We Collect: Information about how you interact with the App, including the quotes you browse, unpack, and favorite.
  • How We Use It: To personalize your experience by remembering your preferences and favorites, and to improve the App's features based on user interactions.

User-Generated Content:

  • What We Collect: When you choose to create a proverb snapshot and download it to your phone's gallery, an image is generated locally on your device. We do not collect or store these images.
  • How We Use It: The generated images are stored on your device and can be shared through your device's sharing options. We have no access to or control over these shared images.

3. Data Storage and Security

  • Local Storage: Favorites and saved quotes are stored on your device using UserDefaults.
  • Cloud Storage: If iCloud synchronization is enabled, data is stored on Apple's secure iCloud servers using NSUbiquitousStorage.
  • Security Measures: We implement reasonable security measures, including encryption and secure communication protocols, to protect your data from unauthorized access. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure.

4. Sharing of Data

  • Third-Party Sharing: We do not share your personal data with third parties except for the following service providers:
    • Firebase: Used for user authentication and analytics. For more information, refer to the Firebase Privacy Policy.
    • Large Language Model Integration: When you unpack a quote, the quote text is sent to an external API to provide additional information. This data is used solely to enhance your experience within the App and is not linked to your personal information.
  • User-Initiated Sharing: When you share proverbs via social media or other platforms, the shared data is subject to those platforms' privacy policies. We do not have access to or control over the data shared through these external services.

5. User Consent and Control

  • Consent: By using the App, you consent to this Privacy Policy and the collection and use of your information as described herein.
  • Control: You can manage certain aspects of your data:
    • Disable iCloud synchronization through your device settings.
    • Request deletion of your personal data by contacting us at admin@archalabs.com.
  • Account Deletion: You may request the deletion of your personal data and account by emailing us at admin@archalabs.com or by using the account deletion feature within the App. Upon deletion, all associated data will be removed from our servers.

6. Data Retention

  • Duration: We retain your data only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.
  • Deletion: Deleting the App or disabling iCloud synchronization will remove your data from those services.

  • Data Location: Your information may be transferred to and maintained on servers located outside of your province, country, or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ.
  • Compliance: We comply with data protection laws regarding international data transfers and take appropriate measures to ensure your data is protected.
